Get Ideas from Local Gardens

March 5, 2014

Rita and I have gotten some great gardening ideas by visiting both public and private gardens in our area.  What is cool about visiting private gardens is getting the opportunity to ask the owner questions about the plants they are growing.

Here is a link to The Garden Conservancy web site where you can not only learn of special events at public gardens, but also find out about their Open Days program for 2013.  The Open Days program allows you to visit a private garden in your area on the single day that the owner has opened it to the public.

  1. Great ideas and pictures. Keeping the types of plants in mind when designing a garden like this is very important. Everything must work together. Great post!
